Join a Committee

We appreciate your interest in becoming more active in NZ Arb. Before completing the form below, here is some information you need to know.

To be on the Executive Committee you must be a NZ Arb member in good standing. For other sub-committees (or any other role) it is preferred that you are an NZ Arb member, but not a pre-requisite.

Volunteer forms may be submitted throughout the year, but appointments typically occur at the AGM or shortly after (around October/November). An Executive Committee appointment is for a two-year term. Committee terms begin at the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting and continue through the next two Annual General Meetings.

The Executive Committee normally meets 4 times a year, as well as at the AGM. Other committees meet as necessary.

While NZ Arb is able to pay your travel costs to participate in Executive Committee meetings, we hope that your employer will help fund this as part of your career development and that you will find the experience personally and professionally rewarding. When pre-approved, most expenses will be reimbursed for serving in other committees/roles, but travel expenses for these are not normally funded by NZ Arb.

Please understand we may not always be able to honour your request to serve on a particular committee.
