COVID-19 Policy

Covid-19 Protection Policy for NZ Arb Events

(Policy Updated 19.04.22)

From Tuesday 19 April, My Vaccine Passes will no longer be required to participate in NZ Arb events. This includes NZ Arb Tree Climbing Competitions, networking, and education events, such as the NZ Arb 2022 Conference.

This change to NZ Arb's policy was made in keeping with changes to Ministry of Health (MoH) guidelines, as New Zealand moves through the peak of Omicron.

While Covid-19 is still present in our communities, we will be maintaining some precautionary measures to safeguard the wellbeing of everyone involved. All NZ Arb event attendees, including competitors, volunteers, and supporters, are required to adhere to the following:

*Please stay home if you are unwell, have symptoms of COVID-19, have a family member or flatmate who is self-isolating, or are waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test.

*For indoor events (including indoor gear checks and prizegiving), all attendees and competitors are required to wear a 'N95 facemask' (or accepted equivalent).

*Organisers reserve the right to request a negative RAT test, or refuse entry, should there be any concerns over an individual's health. NZ Arb will have a supply of RAT tests at events.

*All attendees must confirm they have not had any contact with any positive Covid-19 cases within the last 48 hours in their immediate bubble (family, flatmates etc)

*NZ Arb encourages best practices around hygiene and encourages all attendees to maintain social distancing, wash hands thoroughly, and use hand sanitiser.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Please don’t be offended if you are asked to wear a mask or distance during NZ Arb events. The wellbeing of everyone attending our events is our priority and we appreciate your help and co-operation.
