Role: Crew Leader (Arborist)

We’re looking for an experienced climber heading toward the end of their climbing career who would be keen to get into a trainer/crew lead position for our team based in Marlborough. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their Arboriculture career.
We operate a well-equipped team, providing a mixture of work both council and private, such as reductions, removals, line clearance work, and general pruning/hedge trimming and planting. Working as an Arborist for Nelmac Marlborough you’ll join a dynamic and fun team that has a strong focus on delivering quality work for all our customers in the Marlborough area.
In this full-time permanent role, you will take the lead role scoping jobs and take them from start to finish on-site, as well as train and guide less experienced staff. Thus, to be successful in the role you will ideally have:
Experience in all aspects of professional arboriculture
Full class 1 licence minimum – Class 2 driver preferable
Relevant Utility/Power lines qualification preferred, but not essential
Competence in rope & harness climbing and EWP operation
The ability to deliver safe, efficient, quality work on time and to budget
Accurate tree identification skills
General mechanical aptitude
A great team player with a positive attitude
