He angitūtanga: The opportunity


AIM Services is a leading provider of open space and full facility maintenance services, looking after Auckland's parks, sports fields, streets, community buildings, and the airport. In addition, we also offer expert arboriculture, horticultural, landscaping and plant supply services to local government and private enterprise.


As a Qualified Arborist, you will be assisting with tree maintenance throughout the ‘Rua’ contract area and beyond. As part of the arboricultural team your duties will include all aspects of modern arboriculture, such as general tree maintenance and removals as well as tree asset collection & management.



He kōrero mōu: About you


  • Minimum of 3 years climbing experience within the Arboriculture Industry

  • National Certificate in Arboriculture Level 4 or equivalent experience/qualifications 

  • A strong Health and Safety focus is essential

  • Experience in all aspects of arboriculture is essential

  • Ability to be part of a team and take the lead when required

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Have a strong work ethic and have a production focused personality, with a willingness to learn


A clean full NZ driver's license (manual) is essential whilst an HT (Class 2) license is preferred.

Your base location will be Henderson, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with rostered weekend duties and over-time as required on occasion.


This role is deemed safety sensitive and in line with Auckland Council policy, you will be required to complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
