We’re looking for an experienced all-rounder Arborist. If you are at the point in your career when you are looking for a leadership role and to build your own team, this is your opportunity. Working as an Arborist for Nelmac Marlborough you’ll join a dynamic and fun team that has a strong focus on delivering quality work for all our customers in the Marlborough area.

We have a mixture of work both council and private, such as reductions, removals, line clearance work, and general pruning/hedge trimming and planting. You will take the lead role scoping jobs and taking them from start to finish on-site. As we grow our team, you will also be responsible for the training and guiding of less experienced staff. Nelmac has a wider team of Arborists that will provide support to ensure success.

Essential to this role is a passion for the work you do and the desire to share your knowledge with others as well as a thorough understanding of health and safety.

Nelmac has recently reviewed pay rates to ensure we are competitive in our hourly rate and for this pivotal role in the business, we will consider a sign on cash bonus for the right person.

About you:

• Competency in professional arboriculture, including rope & harness climbing and EWP operation

• Arboriculture L4 or equivalent qualification

• Full class 1 licence, Class 2 preferable

• Relevant Utility/Power lines qualification preferred, but not essential

• Accurate tree identification skills

• A great team player with a positive attitude
