Nelmac has a long and strong association with arboriculture. Working as an Arborist for Nelmac Marlborough you’ll join a dynamic and fun team that has a strong focus on delivering quality work for all our customers in the Marlborough area. We operate a well-equipped team, providing opportunities for excellent climbing challenges and training.
We are open to applications from those with a variety of experiences. This is a chance for either those who are an up-and-coming climber ready to take the next step or if you’re the most experienced of climbers!
In this full-time, permanent role, you will build on your skills and experience and be rewarded with varied and interesting work. At Nelmac we do a mixture of arboriculture work such as crown thinning reductions and lifting, dead wood removal, pollarding street trees, tree removals, cable bracing, stump removal/grinding, hedge trimming, general pruning, and line clearance work.
Ideally you will have:
Experience in all aspects of professional arboriculture
Full class 1 licence minimum, Class 2 license an advantage
Competence in rope & harness climbing and EWP operation
Relevant Utility/Power lines qualification preferred, but not essential
The ability to deliver safe, efficient, quality work on time and to budget
Accurate tree identification skills
A great team player with a positive attitude
General mechanical aptitude
