We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader Arborist to manage all aspects of day-to-day operational services relating to the districts parks and roadside trees. developing tree management, enhancement, and maintenance programmes and providing the Council with specialist arboriculture advice.



To be successful in either of these roles you will have the following:

  • Previous experience in arboriculture and/or recognised Arboriculture qualification (Level 4 or      above)

  • Hold a full current and valid NZ driver's licence and Heavy Trade Licence with no restrictions

  • Knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, particularly how it applies it contract      management and work site safety

  • Demonstrated understanding of hazardous substance usage and requirements for use in accordance with applicable safety and compliance regulations

  • Extensive practical work experience in carrying out all aspects of tree work
