About us
The Infrastructure and Property team delivers the core services that rate payers expect (and government mandates). These include roading, water services, parks and reserves, solid waste, emergency management, and the management of property holdings.
The Reserves Team are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our parks, reserves and camping areas district wide, including the trees and vegetation within these sites.
About the role
Reporting to the Reserves Operations Manager you will be our ‘go to' representative for expert technical advice on trees assets, providing recommendations and reports to internal and external stakeholders. You'll contribute to policy reviews, codes of practice and tree management processes.
As well as being a technical expert you will be responsible for end to end service delivery relating to trees across Selwyn's impressive collection of parks and reserves alongside our township. Dealing with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders you will work closely with our contractors ensuring agreed levels of service are met and maintained.

About you
To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and experience;
At least 5 years' experience in tree management, tree assessment, identification and risk analysis
Previous experience managing Arborist crew/s in a parks and reserves environment
Expert understanding of Arboriculture industry best practice, H&S and compliance
Experience and confidence in working with a range of customers and contractors
