As the Senior Arborist, you will be reporting to the Operations Manager and driving the Arboriculture team's day-to-day activities to achieve excellence and pride in what they do. You will maintain a hands-on approach, taking ownership of all areas of responsibility which include but not limited to, tree care work, tree assessments, programming works, and liaisons with the Hastings District Council and key stakeholders. You will manage your own workload, be extremely self-driven, and have the means to work flexible hours.

You will have a New Zealand Diploma in Arboriculture - Level between 4-6 (or equivalent) and have a minimum of 3+ years of proven practical industry experience
Be able to demonstrate sound leadership skills and enthusiasm to motivate a team
Be able to demonstrate strong organisational and planning skills to coordinate and manage workloads
A current full driver's license with the ability to drive a manual vehicle is essential and preferably a class 2 license
You will demonstrate a positive attitude towards working safely
You will be reliable, punctual, cooperative, and maintain positive working relationships.
You will have excellent communication and record-keeping skills
You will be committed to being part of a wider team with a strong work ethic
