As the Senior Arborist, you will be reporting to the Operations Manager and driving the Arboriculture team's day-to-day activities to achieve excellence and pride in what they do. You will maintain a hands-on approach, taking ownership of all areas of responsibility which include but not limited to, tree care work, tree assessments, programming works, and liaisons with the Thames - Coromandel District Council and key stakeholders. You will manage your own workload, be extremely self-driven, and have the means to work flexible hours.


The Success Factors

  • You will have a New Zealand Diploma in Arboriculture - Level between 4-6 (or equivalent) and have a minimum of 3+ years of proven practical industry experience

  • Be able to demonstrate sound leadership skills and enthusiasm to motivate a team

  • Be able to demonstrate strong organisational and planning skills to coordinate and manage workloads

  • A current full driver's license with the ability to drive a manual vehicle is essential and preferably a class 2 license

  • You will demonstrate a positive attitude towards working safely

  • You will be reliable, punctual, cooperative, and maintain positive working relationships.

  • You will have excellent communication and record-keeping skills

  • You will be committed to being part of a wider team with a strong work ethic
