About the role

The primary purpose of the Arboricultural Risk Assessor is to risk assess tree assets throughout Tauranga City.


What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

  • A minimum level 4 certificate in arboriculture

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in arboriculture

  • A tree risk assessment qualification (TRAQ, QTRA or equivalent)

  • Experience in conflict resolution

  • Familiarity with all techniques and hazards associated with the maintenance and removal of trees

  • Familiarity with customer service expectations

  • The ability to recognize and diagnose tree faults, defects, and be familiar with a wide range of tree pests and diseases
